İGSAŞ – Smart Agriculture Platform
Kalm Works delivered UX design and custom software for İGSAŞ's smart agriculture initiative, digitally showcasing the CEMRE and TOYGAR agritech prototypes.
The Challenge
Precision agriculture is reshaping the global food supply chain. As IoT sensors, data analytics, and autonomous field equipment move from experimental to mainstream, agricultural companies face a new imperative: communicate the complexity and promise of their technology in ways that resonate with farmers, agronomists, investors, and policymakers alike. İGSAŞ, a long-established leader in Turkey's fertilizer and agricultural inputs sector, had developed two breakthrough agritech prototypes — İGSAŞ CEMRE and İGSAŞ TOYGAR — as part of its commitment to sustainable, data-driven farming. The challenge was translating the depth and ambition of these innovations into digital platforms capable of conveying their features, applications, and sectoral impact to diverse, non-technical audiences — without losing the technical credibility that specialist stakeholders require.
Our Approach
Kalm Works contributed to the İGSAŞ Smart Agriculture project as a creative and technical partner, bringing user experience design and custom software development to a project with significant real-world stakes. Our mandate was to build digital platforms that could do justice to the sophistication of CEMRE and TOYGAR — turning complex agritech concepts into clear, compelling, and visually engaging digital narratives. We approached each prototype as a distinct story: mapping the unique value proposition, target use cases, and sustainability credentials of each device, then designing the information architecture and UX flows to guide visitors from awareness to genuine understanding. Alongside web platforms, we integrated interactive presentations and video to layer different levels of technical depth — ensuring that a farmer, an investor, and an agricultural engineer could each find the information they needed and leave with a clear picture of İGSAŞ's vision for the future of farming.
What We Built
Discovery & UX strategy: conducted stakeholder workshops to map each prototype's audience segments, communication goals, and technical storytelling requirements — then translated these into UX principles and site architecture.
UI design & information architecture: designed intuitive, visually compelling interfaces for the CEMRE and TOYGAR platforms — structuring content hierarchies to serve both expert and non-expert visitors without overwhelming either.
Custom software development: built the web platforms from the ground up with performance, scalability, and content flexibility as core requirements — enabling İGSAŞ's team to update and expand the platforms as the prototypes evolve.
Interactive presentation design: created interactive presentation layers that allow users to explore CEMRE and TOYGAR's features, technical specifications, and field applications at their own pace and depth.
Video integration & digital storytelling: integrated video content into the platform experience to communicate the prototypes' real-world impact — translating engineering innovation into human-scale agricultural stories.
The Result
The digital platforms Kalm Works built for İGSAŞ CEMRE and İGSAŞ TOYGAR serve as authoritative online presences for two of Turkey's most forward-looking agritech prototypes — enabling İGSAŞ to communicate its smart agriculture vision to farmers, industry partners, and sustainability-focused investors with equal clarity and conviction. By marrying rigorous UX design with custom software and rich interactive content, we ensured that the ambition behind the technology is matched by the quality of its digital representation.
